'Janet Price... makes a completely persuasive Bianca singing expressively and with panache. As the more sympathetic sister Yvonne Kenny combines poise with warmth, and Della Jones, in the travesti role of Luigi, gives an authoritative portrayal distinguished by her relishing of words as well as music. Maurice Arthur sings with admirable polish and agility, also rising excitingly to the tenor heroics of Ugo. It is one of the strengths of this whole performance that the two relatively minor roles are |
