Elizabeth Vidal attacks the sometimes stratospheric writing allotted Ginevra with confidence and expressive power, while as the warrior Ariodante (originally a castrato role) Daniela Barcellona offers singing of extraordinary presence and accomplishment... all in all it's a very worthwhile venture.'
